Researchers in this area are identifying and remediating gaps in the care of young people struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.

Their goals are to more:

• Accurately and rapidly identify youth who do not receive needed care;
• Effectively extend treatment through new clinical programs and novel policies;  and
• Rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of treatments currently provided in the community and uncover opportunities for improvement.
