Our Approach to Geriatric Oncology

The complexities of treating older cancer patients are often challenging. Perhaps more than at any other stage of life, age-related physical changes, vulnerability to toxicity, and ability to engage in activities of daily living have a significant effect on illness and response to treatment. Because these factors vary greatly from patient to patient, we treat the individual—not the age.

We offer each patient a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan, and, if desired, advice on particular problems related to cancer and aging. Our multidisciplinary team, all of whom have specialized expertise in treating older adults, includes:
