The pulmonary function lab at the at 146 West River Street in Providence is open Monday through Friday, and provides a full range of pulmonary function testing and pulmonary services for men and women, including:
- Full pulmonary function tests (PFTs), including pre- and post-spirometry, maximum voluntary ventilation, lung volumes and diffusing capacity
- Methacholine challenge testing, also known as bronchoprovocation testing
- Six-minute walk test
- Asthma education (one-on-one or in a group session)
All pulmonary function test results are interpreted by our board-certified pulmonologist, and we are always available to consult with the referring provider on any of the test results we provide.
Pulmonary Diseases in Pregnancy
As part of the Women's Medicine Collaborative's multidisciplinary obstetric medicine service (MOMS), we specialize in pulmonary diseases and sleep apnea in pregnancy.
In collaboration with the patient’s referring obstetrician, obstetric internist, midwife, gynecologist, family practitioner, or other health care provider, we develop a coordinated plan of care for women with acute and chronic pulmonary disorders during preconception, pregnancy, and the postpartum period.
