Lifespan Research Day 2022
The Lifespan Office of Research hosted its annual Research Day on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. The event was headlined by a presentation from Juan Celedón, MD, DrPH, from the University of Pittsburgh Medicine Center. Dr. Celedón, who received his fellowship training at Lifespan and Brown, presented “Violence, Psychosocial Stress, and Asthma” in the George Auditorium at Rhode Island Hospital.
Following the keynote address, research posters from Lifespan as well as other Rhode Island institutions were shown at the rear of the Rhode Island Hospital cafeteria from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
Dr. Stephanie Goldstein, the Lifespan 2021 honoree of the Bruce M. Selya Award in Research Excellence, then presented her research, “Using Digital Tools and Predictive Analytics to Optimize Health Behavior Assessment and Intervention,” in the George Auditorium. The event ended with brief presentations from the 2022 Research Abstract Award winners.
