The Total Joint Center performed significantly better than the national average in readmissions, surgical site infection rates, length of stay and patient experience according to Hospital Compare, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Vizient and Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS).
Awards and Distinctions for the Total Joint Center
The Miriam Hospital is proud to have been ranked 2021-2022 Best Regional Hospital and Top Hospital in Rhode Island by US News and World Report. In addition, The Miriam Hospital was named the best hospital in the region for providing orthopedic services.
Equally significant is that, in 2021, the Total Joint Center earned another Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement from The Joint Commission.
