Women's Heart Disease
The Women’s Cardiac Center recognizes that women have different risks and symptoms of cardiovascular disease than men. We provide cardiac care for all women, including pregnant and postpartum women, women with heart disease caused by cancer treatment and women with menopause-related cardiac concerns.
Coronary Artery Disease: Are You at Risk?
Take our online risk assessment to determine if you are at risk for coronary artery disease.
Symptoms in women are far more subtle than those in men. In fact, almost two-thirds of women who died suddenly from cardiovascular diseases had no symptoms. Because of the subtle or sometimes nonexistent signs, women are less likely to go to the emergency room. It is important to talk to your doctor about any concerns you may have about your cardiac health.
