Our Mission

Lifespan. Delivering health with care.

In 1996, Lifespan was a partnership of two hospitals. Today, 16,000 people work here, bringing talent, experience and compassion to their job every day.

We’ve opened a pharmacy, making it easier for patients to leave the hospital with needed medications. We created the Women's Medicine Collaborative and partnered with Gateway Healthcare to strengthen our specialty care. We've also invested in our workforce and surrounding towns to improve health at a community level.

In essence, we've reimagined ourselves to deliver the care people need, whenever and wherever they need it.
