Nancy Stone, PhD, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with the Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute. She also serves as clinical preceptor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and professor of advanced medical nursing at the Community College of Rhode Island.
Dr. Stone’s previous experience includes the Ocean State Cardiovascular and Vein Center, Cardiology Associates, and the Rhode Island Cardiovascular Group. She received her master’s degree, postgraduate certifications, and doctorate in nursing from the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Nursing.
Dr. Stone was the first nurse practitioner in Rhode Island to work in a critical care setting and was Instrumental in the development of cardiology nurse practitioner services in a tertiary care setting (The Miriam Hospital) and a community hospital (Landmark Medical Center).
