Elizabeth Ellen Flynn, MD

Psychiatrist

Ellen Flynn, MD, is a psychiatrist with Women’s Behavioral Medicine. She is a clinical associate professor of psychiatry and human behavior and a clinical associate professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Flynn is board certified in psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Her clinical expertise includes reproductive psychiatry including the management of mental health problems in pregnancy and the postpartum period as well as premenstrual mood disorders and the transition to menopause. Other clinical interests include consultation-liaison psychiatry, and mindfulness-based interventions in health care.

Dr. Flynn received a medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she also completed residency training in adult psychiatry. She pursued a fellowship in psychosomatic medicine, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. She is a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction instructor through the Center for Mindfulness, Oasis Institute at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
