Jose Arauz, PhD, is a psychologist with Lifespan outpatient psychiatry and behavioral health and Clinica Latina, Lifespan Mental Health Services.
He completed his doctorate and master of arts degrees, both in clinical psychology, at Suffolk University. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at University of Nevada, Reno Counseling Services and has experience as a school-based therapist.
Dr. Arauz’s areas of research include classroom engagement among Latinx students and “studyaholism” as a form of experiential avoidance in education.
He is fluent in Spanish.
