Melvin Philip, MD is board-certified in internal medicine and specializes in palliative and hospice care at Newport County Primary Care, a Coastal Medical Practice. Dr. Philip received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Bridgetown, Barbados. Dr. Philip completed his residency in internal medicine and primary care and was named resident of the year at the Connecticut Institute for Communities, Danbury Hospital. He went on to complete his fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine in palliative and hospice care, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Queens.
Dr. Philip is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
