Saraschandra Vallabhajosyula, MD, MSc

Saraschandra Vallabhajosyula, MD, MSc, FACP, FCCP, FCCM, FAHA, FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional and critical care cardiologist with the Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute and the director of Coronary Care Unit at Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals. Dr. Vallabhajosyula is also an assistant professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Prior to joining the Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute, he worked as an assistant professor of medicine, director of interventional cardiology research, and director of the cardiovascular intensive care unit at the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

He obtained his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University in India and a master’s degree from the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) at the Mayo Clinic’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He completed an internal medicine residency at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, cardiovascular medicine and critical care medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Vallabhajosyula is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
